The three ward Councillors have always taken a proactive part on the committee of the Frank Muir Memorial Field. This committee works with Runnymede Council to ensure that the field remains a positive asset to the residents having been donated to the village when the M25 was built and the village was cut off from Thorpe Green.
The Committee meets regularly and has regard to the maintenance and condition of the field. We are very pleased that within the last year we have been able to encourage a local resident in his efforts to set up a youth football team named the Frank Muir Lions.
